Herbal Medicine CSA

Based on the agricultural CSA model, I'm offering a Herbal Medicine CSA designed to support general health, prevent illness and cope with minor issues such as colds, flus, burns and minor wounds. Shares will contain various teas, bulk herbs, salves, soaps, infused oils, syrups and herb extracts. Products will be made with my own herbs grown with organic methods, wildgathered herbs or from quality herbal suppliers. Two pick-ups per season. Sign up deadline is May 15th. Salves

Salves are made from my own garden-grown or wildgathered herbs. I use only fresh plants and infuse them in a base of pure olive oil. I grow and gather flowers and leaves at the peak of their power to create soothing and healing salves. I make compound salves such as Heal-All Salve (with Calendula flowers, St. John's Wort flowers, plantain leaves, comfrey leaf and root, yarrow leaf and flower) as well as simple salves such as Calendula Salve. All salves are thickened with pure beeswax. I can create custom salves dependent upon herb availablity. Salves take at least 6 weeks to make!

Soaps

My soaps start with a base of herbal infusion or distilled water and often contain herb-infused oils as well. I scent with pure essential oils or let the natural scent of the oils come through. All colors are vegetable and herb-based. Never any artificial colors or fragrances. My soaps retain all the vegetable glycerin and are super-fatted to leave your skin soft and moist, not dry!
